I am Paul Theodore Williams, aka TexasTed
Salsavore was born out of a lifetime passion for taste and heat. Basically, Teddy like spicy. The final straw and call to action was moving to a place with tasty but not spicy food. So, I grew the peppers and made my own.
I’ve made a variety of sauces and have shared many with friends and family. I started getting more and more requests for some of the sauces and eventually realized that there were a lot of people in the area wanting more. So, I decided it was time to make it official.
There wasn’t a lot of thought needed to know what my flagship sauce would be because Spain (and me too) has a love affair with garlic. I knew I had to pay tribute. Therefore my first and flagship sauce became Spanish Garlic & Habanero.
It took a lot of experimenting and refining but finally I tasted what I was searching for. But, I needed more proof. I needed some tasters to confirm my hunch. So, I called upon my very good friends Sara and David at AlteArte, our favorite bar with the best Mojitos in Altea.
They have a great art gallery where many events are hosted so we put the word out and had a packed house to sample 10 different sauces. The sauces received excellent results on the survey and another hurdle was crossed.
A few months later I found a production facility and Salsavore Hot Sauce Company became official. I’ve had to wear all of the hats including a few I never expected to get this far and I can say some of those hats didn’t fit so well. But, I wouldn’t change a thing because it’s been a crazy, spicy, happy ride thus far.
